Where it’s from: NY Strip comes from the short loin. This muscle does little work, which gives it it’s tenderness and marbling, making this one of the most popular steaks.
What to us it for: Standalone steak often served with veggies, potatoes and a salad.
Cook: Hot and fast. NY Strip great grilled or pan-fried. It's delicious served with just a little salt and pepper, or your favorite seasoning or marinade. Best cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F.
